IPORTUSA, INC. PARTNERS WITH CUE INC. FOR WIRELESS BROADBAND SERVICES AT ANNUAL TRADESHOW
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (January 31, 2006) --- Computer-Using Educators, Inc., a California non-profit corporation that encourages the use of technology for student achievement, have partnered with iPort USA to provide wireless internet service at their annual CUE Conference in Palm Springs, Calif.
The CUE Conference has been held annually for the last twenty-five years, creating a forum for teachers and professors to explore new technologies to aid in education. This year, lectures about Assistive Technology Tools, Podcasting and Blogging will take center stage. iPort’s involvement solidifies CUE’s commitment to new technology and provides attendees with a breadth of internet-based tools to further enhance this year’s conference.
The CUE Conference is an opportunity for iPort to demonstrate its Temporary Networks platform to the educational community. Using a combination of point-to-point transmission and portable wireless hubs, iPort will supply CUE with always-on, broadband wireless connectivity throughout the Palm Springs Convention Center. In addition, iPort will provide location-specific information about the conference on its portal page, detailing schedules, events and amenities to show goers.
"iPort wouldn’t exist without the technological innovations the educators at CUE inspire in their students," said John Thompson, CEO of iPortUSA. "I can’t think of a more fitting venue for our services than the CUE Conference."
